A local Realtor has the expertise, experience and knowledge of your area. A local Realtor is in your neighbourhood and able to show your property with little notice.

It is your perogative to interview more than one Realtor prior to listing your property.
Realtors know and expect that you are, so don't be afraid to say that you are.

Be Realistic about about your Selling Price.
An "overpriced" listing will take longer to sell...you may have to entertain one or more price decreases before it sells.

Perhaps you need to do some repairs or maintenance before listing to ensure you attract that buyer.

Be sure you are ready to sell.
Selling your property can be an emotional decision. Once you make that decision, you need to remove emotions from the process so that you are pricing it right and doing what needs to be done to make it sell.
